Additional event info
Use the postcode DL11 6AW to get to the event site then follow signs for parking and camping. If you’re racing on Saturday we suggest that you park in field one, and if you’re racing on Sunday we suggest that you park in field two. Both will be signposted.
Camping is available onsite from 1900 on Thursday 4th August and you can stay until Monday morning for a fee of £5 per person per night. Please bring the correct amount as change will be limited and pay when entering the event village where you will be given a coloured wrist band to attach to the front of your tent. The camping fields have hot showers that take £1 coins and toilets. If you are camping, please bring your own bin bags. There will be skips at the event that you can dump your rubbish in before you leave. Day and night security will be in place at the event, but we must stress that it’s your responsibility to look after your kit and ‘Ard Rock accepts no liability for damaged or lost equipment. Open fires are not permitted on the campsite, and fire extinguishers will be located at the entrance, in the main marquee and the toilets. Food will be served up until 2200 hours.
Spectators are welcome, but it’s worth noting that it’s a big old loop. We recommend walking up Fremington Edge to stage one which is a good 20 minute walk uphill, or watching some of stage five later in the day. Please don’t use vehicles to get up to stage one as it’s a dead end with no turning. Spectators must stay off the race stages and take extra caution when walking up Fremington Edge road as it will be extremely busy with bikes.
Food and drink
From Crepes, coffee and flapjack, to pizza, pasta and beer… A wide variety of food and drink will be available all weekend from the food outlets and the Cafe at Dales Bike Centre which is next to the event village.
Other useful info
There’s one cash machine in nearby which is in Reeth at The Buck pub, so we suggest you bring cash with you. There’s some great stands this year, Ard Rock mechandise and of course there’s the Black Sheep Real Ale bar.
We look forward to seeing you soon!!
